Singapore
Saturday 16th April, 2011
We arrived in Singapore at about 5.30am and went through customs and immigration without a hitch. We arrived at the transfer desk and witnessed an irate customer whose accommodation had not been booked by his travel agent.
The poor girl behind the desk was unable to help but this was falling on deaf ears.
25 minutes later we got served and had our transfers sorted within minutes – the benefits of a good travel agent it would seem.

A day wandering around Singapore
We spent the rest of the day exploring Singapore by foot…
… and ended the day with a relaxing mocktail at Raffles. Cost of two mocktails $32.80SGD.
What!?
We then popped into an eatery where the locals hang out and had a huge dinner for at a total cost of $6.00SGD. Lucky we had the small serves as the large serves would have cost us $8.
Now that’s more like it! 😊
We are now in desperate need of a good night’s sleep…
