The journey home

We disembarked the Spirit of Tasmania 2 at around 0630 and set off for Sydenham and breakfast with Teta Dusanka…

Geelong to Sydenham

First stop was for gas which we had sussed out on the way down. I was nearly empty (by design) so I could fill up at 82.9c/l instead of 131.9c/l in Tasmania.

With the car full of gas, we made for Sydenham and breakfast with Teta Dusanka (thank you Teta).

Sydenham to Albury

We left Teta Dusanka’s after a beautiful breakfast (thanks Teta) and headed to Albury-Wodonga for fuel and lunch…

Albury-Wodonga to Goulburn

We refueled, had a quick bite to eat and headed for Goulburn…

Miles upon miles of highway driving. Put the cruise on 110kp/h, feet up and have a snooze… 🤣

Goulburn

We arrived in Goulburn, home of the BIG Merino, at around 1630 in the afternoon…

…and checked into our accommodation…

Once we had the car unpacked, we walked down to The Astor Hotel for dinner…

Goulburn to Taree

We left Goulburn this morning at around 0545 after an early breakfast and we were lucky enough to witness the most magnificent sunrise…

Once daylight broke for good, we hit a little bit of Sydney morning peak hour as we traversed the M7 and M11 Highways…

Taree to Home

We had lunch at the Exchange Hotel in Taree after the kebab shopped smelled a little too ‘bleachy’ for our liking.

Our trip home from Taree was an easy run via Aldi in South Tweed to get some groceries…

Our second Tassie road trip was just as awesome as the first one.

We had excellent weather, spent Birthdays with family and found a future home.
